Art of the Dance, Capture the Movement (M)

The Art of the Dance, Capture the MovementĀ A Collaboration with Festival Ballet Providence and Art League Rhode Island
Sign up now for your spot during the month of November

In collaboration with Festival Ballet Providence (FBP), ALRI is pleased to invite Elected andĀ Associate Member artists to participate in The Art of the Dance, Capture the Movement. This collaboration invites artists to study, interpret, and capture movement and dance in their respective style and medium. Continuing through the month of November 2015, artists have a rare opportunity to attend a FBP class or rehearsal session and explore the figure in movement, as well as the intimate context of dancers in relationship to each other and the music. Artists will have an opportunity to have their work selected for an upcoming exhibit and fundraising event produced in celebration of Festival Ballet Providence’s 39th season and the 3rd season of ALRI’s gallery exhibits at The VETS, fall 2016.

Sessions will be held at the FBP Grand Studio, 825 Hope St, Providence, and must be scheduled in advance. Each session in the Grand Studio can accommodate 4 artists (two may use easels, other artists will be seated). Artists may schedule more than one session. First-Come/First-Served.
