Opportunities to discover and enjoy art can be found everywhere in Rhode Island, many created by members of Art League Rhode Island (ALRI). Our member exhibits are annual highlights. Every year, we sponsor several exhibits that are attended by the public. Some are juried and are either open or invitational. All include the full range of media and form, from painting, to photography, to sculpture. All are carefully curated and innovative.
If you’ve already attended an ALRI event, you know that the ALRI experience frequently takes place outside of the gallery, in working studios, public auditoriums, at town halls, and the corner café. Many take place in social settings. Visit a Modern Salon, where artists share work and feedback with their peers. Attend a Workshop or Gallery Talk to learn about (or attempt!) an art form that is new to you. Members of ALRI are generous with their experience.
Look under CALENDAR for opportunities created by ALRI. Many of our member events and programs are open to the public. Most are free of charge. If there is a fee to attend, you’ll find it in the calendar listing. Once in a while, you’ll see an “M” accompany an event description, indicating it’s solely for members. These events are typically organizational or social functions.
